Bishop Keith

Dedicates Murals

On Easter Sunday, April 24th 2011, the Rt..Rev. Keith Sinclair, Bishop of Birkenhead  visited St. Andrew's Church to celebrate Easter Sunday and to dedicate murals drawn and painted by the children of the local schools in our parish. The murals were drawn by the pupils of the three junior schools in our Parish depicting new life and regeneration featuring Easter and Spring themes. The drawings were then transposed onto large plastic sheets by pupils of St. Chad's Catholic and Church of England Joint Faith High School. The finished articles were then used to brighten up our former church hall, the windows of which had been boarded up for a number of years and needed brightening up. A large crowd witnessed the dedication and retired to enjoy refreshments after the occasion.
