Captain Bob’s bus returning after holiday break during August
Monday's 7pm to 9pm
NEW CLUB FOR YOUNG ADULTS?

After a successful inaugural visit of ten weeks during Autumn 2007, CAPTAIN Rob Barker and CAPTAIN Rick Tett of the Church Army are retuning as leaders of a special bus project. The scheme uses a double decker bus to tour the Diocese with the aim of bringing unchurched youngsters or adults into a connection with God.
Capt. Bob’s bus returns on Monday evening September 1st 2008 in St.Andrew’s Church car park at around 6.45pm and opens to young people at 7.00pm until 9.00pm.
Captain Rob had this to say......
He said: “We meet with predominantly young people and we meet them in their own local environments. Gradually, we build up relationships and introduce them to the Christian faith and work out a way for them to grow spiritually".
“Along the way we hope to have some fun and certainly some robust debate in which everyone can engage.”
“Among the young who come to the bus project we see many of them turning their lives around and growing in understanding of who they are in Christ.”
Read what Captain Rob had to say about the young folk on the Grange Estate in his autumn newsletter
Quote. The regular outreach on the bus continues. We had a bit of a break from this during the summer holidays as volunteers and the team had to have some holidays. The relationships with each of of our projects is very strong and fruit is beginning to be seen. One night in Runcorn we had the most amazing evening as the young people lined up to receive prayer and prophetic words. About eight 17-19 year olds came forward and received something of God's will regarding the Lord's original intention for them. Three of them made very clear decisions to receive and follow Christ for themselves"
Come and ask as many questions as you like, we will try to answer them for you.. We are trying to connect with everyone on this estate. Come and be part of the Grange Estate’ exciting regeneration program. Come on, get off that couch or don't hang about on street corners! Come and check us out.
In the near future St. Andrew's will be forming a 'Club' for the young people in our neighbourhood.
In order to conform with legislation while the young people are in our guardianship we will be devising ground rules for their care.
There are schemes being set up that will be interesting and rewarding for those committed to being respectful and polite. We don't expect them to be 'Angels' yet.
For our Young citizens and Young Adults.
Ask your friends what is happening on our Grange Estate. Does anyone care what we do? What are the adults doing for us? They (older people) don't like us hanging around but don't provide us with an outlet for our energies. Who's this fellow Colin Hughes and what is 'Positive Future'? Well! ask around your contempories, that is your friends what can he do for you. Ask the REV Udobata. Read the message on the community page, find out what questions do our Mum's, Dad's & Grandparents ask about us?. Contact Colin on 07818077047. Remember though that sometimes we can't wave a magic wand and provide everything you want NOW! Wembley Stadium took six years to rebuild and its only just finished, but they and we are working for you. Keep checking in for up-to-date news. And remember St. Andrew's Church is backing you as well.
